CACAO AND PEANUT BUTTER OVERNIGHT CHIA OATS (serves 1)

Ingredients

PEANUT BUTTER OATS:

1/4 cup oats

1 tablespoon of nutty nutty peanut butter protein powder or peanut butter

1/2 cup unsweetened plant based milk (I use Rude health almond drink - the combo of almond and rice milk makes it beautifully sweet)

1 tablespoon chia seeds

CACAO OATS:

1/4 cup oats

1 tablespoon cacao powder

1/2 cup unsweetened plant based milk

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

In a bowl or an airtight container, stir the ‘peanut butter oats’ ingredients together and in a separate bowl/container stir the ‘cacao oats’ ingredients together. Cover, then pop into the fridge and leave overnight. In the morning, you can either be a fancy pants and layer the different flavoured oats or simply serve together and top with fresh fruit, peanut butter and any other toppings you like.

Note: I haven’t added any sugar/syrup in the recipe as the milk I use tastes sweet enough. Feel free to adjust the sweetness to suit your own tastes.
